This original handmade Oil Painting Deep Dive is part of my underwater series of paintings.

I had the inspiration for this painting during my trip to La Palma (Canary Islands) where I was making videos with my GoPro underwater in a beautiful swimming pool, trying to capture this feeling of freedom and weightlessness that I was experiencing at that moment. The water and the sky are blue, the light is at its most beautiful moment and the sunlight is flooding the water, casting abstract lines on my body and bikini. This artwork definitely transports me back to this feeling of relaxation and cool refreshment on hot sunny day in La Palma.
